Train stations in ViennaCome by train!Maybe you decde to travel to Vienna by train. Form France, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary , Germany and so on it is a good alternative to flying. There are several train stations in Vienna we will focus only on international train stations.
The western train station in Vienna is one of the biggest in the city. From here the trains from and to western Europe are arriving and leaving. In the next years the train station will be rebuild including a shopping center which is not too easy because the western train station is under monumental protection. Trains and trams: S50, U3, U6, 5, 6, 9, 18, 52, 58, regional, international. Earlier the southern train station in Vienna were two train stations, the eastern and the southern. After the second world war the whole area was rebuild and so the two train stations became one. Since a couple of years a central train station is planed by the city which should replace the southern train station. Trains and trams: S1, S2, S3, (S7), S15, S60, S80, D, O, 18, 13A, 69A, regional, international.
