Quick and cheap


The Vienna airport is in the east of the city. There are several ways to go to or from the airport quick and cheap. In general you can go quiet fast and easy to the center of Vienna at any time of the day. Recommended is the transfer by train which takes 16 minutes.



  • by train

    • Within 16 minutes and without a stop the City airport train takes you for 9 Euros between the center of Vienna and the airport. The train starts every 30 minutes between 5.35 a.m. and 11.35 p.m. from the city air terminal. During your ride you have the chance to watch interesting programs in the City airport train.

  • by tram

    • For just 3 Euro you can take the tram from and to the center of Vienna. In the center they start every half an hour at .26 and .56. The other way around they start at .09 and .39.

  • by car

    • If you decide to go to the airport by car or rent a car at the airport and want to go to the city the best way is the highway A4 which is the "airpot highway". Another possibility is the highway B9 which is not as fast as the A4.

  • by shuttle service

    • There are 3 official shuttle services at the airport. Starting at 28€ you can hire the airport driver which brings you in the city. A little bit more expensive is the airport services but they bring you in a nice comfortable car in the city. The third option is the airport transfer service which offers you to go by taxi, limousine or bus.
